# Pokémon T·C·G decklists This page lists Pokémon T·C·G decks used by editors of this wiki to play ranked (Standard‐format) matches on _Pokémon Trading Card Game Live_{as=cite}. In T·C·G·L, the ranked ladder resets every month, and the recorded decks represent the final versions of each of our main decks for that month. ## September 2023 ### _Swampmind_{as=cite} by [][@:Lady] {as=details} :::::::::::: {as=summary} card listing ``` Pokémon: 10 2 Altaria EVS 106 2 Swablu SIT 142 3 Mimikyu PAL 97 PH 2 Seismitoad OBF 52 1 Radiant Alakazam SIT 59 2 Tympole OBF 50 PH 1 Stoutland V CRZ 116 2 Kingdra LOR 37 2 Horsea BST 31 1 Lumineon V CRZ-GG 39 Trainer: 15 3 Irida ASR 147 2 Toy Catcher EVS 163 1 Lucky Ice Pop EVS 150 2 Lake Acuity LOR 160 2 Energy Retrieval BLW 92 1 Professor Burnet SIT-TG 26 3 Thorton LOR 167 1 Fog Crystal CRE 140 2 Level Ball BST 181 3 Rare Candy SSH 180 2 Pal Pad SVI 182 3 Energy Search BLW 93 2 Boss's Orders RCL 154 1 Professor's Research PR-SW 152 2 Ultra Ball PLB 90 Energy: 2 4 Basic {P} Energy Energy 13 8 Basic {W} Energy Energy 11 Total Cards: 60 ``` :::::::::::: This is a Supporter‐heavy deck that leverages [Altaria (EVS 106)][EVS-106] and [Kingdra (LOR 37)][LOR-37] to apply constant pressure on the opponent team. [Seismitoad (OBF 52)][OBF-52] is strong against the Fire‐type decks currently prevalant in the meta and has a tendency to trick the opponent into making faults. [Mimikyu (PAL 97)][PAL-97] is a good counter to many _ex_‐ and _V_‐heavy decks and [Radiant Alakazam (SIT 59)][SIT-59] pairs well with [Toy Catcher][EVS-163] to challenge Basic pokémon that are sitting on the bench before they get the chance to evolve. [Thorton][LOR-167] provides an escape route for Basic pokémon into [Mimikyu (PAL 97)][PAL-97] when under pressure from pokémon _V_, can bring [Radiant Alakazam (SIT 59)][SIT-59] back from the dead, and can be used to quickly ramp up an evolved [Seismitoad (OBF 52)][OBF-52] in a single turn. It is equally useful with [Lumineon _V_ (CRZ GG39)][CRZ-GG39] (either to escape to a card with lower Prize cost, or to pull a quick Aqua Return out of nowhere), and to ramp up a [Stoutland _V_ (CRZ 116)][CRZ-116] using a Basic pokémon with less risk. [Irida][ASR-147] is the core of the deck, allowing quick access to any Item card to satisfy the current turn’s needs; with an Evolution card and a [Rare Candy][SVI-191], it can evolve a sitting Basic Pokémon to Stage 2 in a single turn; alternatively, it can call up an Item card for acquiring Energy or a non·Water‐type pokémon as well as [Lumineon _V_ (CRZ GG39)][CRZ-GG39] for requesting another Supporter card on the following turn. This deck began as something I quickly cobbled together from the few cards I had in T·C·G·L which were still acceptable in Standard and which turned out to be surprisingly strong. Earlier versions of the deck included [Empoleon (BRS 37)][BRS-37], but its attack and ability were covered just as well by [Kingdra (LOR 37)][LOR-37], [Radiant Alakazam (SIT 59)][SIT-59], and [Toy Catcher][EVS-163] in most cases. I also tried using [Kingdra (BST 33)][BST-33] in addition to [Kingdra (LOR 37)][LOR-37] for a time, but [Seismitoad (OBF 52)][OBF-52] turned out to be better in most cases. [Altaria (EVS 106)][EVS-106] and [Stoutland _V_ (CRZ 116)][CRZ-116] were late additions; the former let me lean less on [Lumineon _V_ (CRZ GG39)][CRZ-GG39] for acquiring Supporter cards and has a useful zero retreat cost. ### _E-Rat-i-Cat-e slow_{as=cite} by [][@:Aescling] {as=details} :::::::::::: {as=summary} card listing ``` Pokémon: 10 4 Sprigatito SVI 13 1 Floragato PAL 14 2 Meowscarada ex PAL 15 2 Meowscarada ex PR-SV 33 1 Radiant Alakazam SIT 59 2 Rattata MEW 19 2 Raticate MEW 20 2 Bidoof CRZ 111 2 Bibarel BRS 121 1 Manaphy BRS 41 Trainer: 12 2 Nest Ball SVI 181 4 Ultra Ball SVI 196 4 Rare Candy SVI 191 2 Superior Energy Retrieval PAL 189 2 Escape Rope BST 125 2 Boss's Orders PAL 172 2 Iono PAL 185 2 Gardenia's Vigor ASR 143 2 Professor's Research SVI 189 2 Klara CRE 145 2 Pokémon League Headquarters OBF 192 1 Super Rod PAL 276 Energy: 2 10 Basic {G} Energy SVE 1 4 Double Turbo Energy BRS 151 ``` :::::::::::: ##### Notes + “slow” as it dropped [battle vip pass][FST-225] + [151 ratatta][MEW-19] is a fun card but it is very easy to boss target or bench snipe and difficult to set up effectively on an already slow deck + [bibarel][BRS-121] alone is not effective draw suppurrt + [iono][PAL-185] was rarely useful in this deck + the only thing this deck consistently eradicated was my will to live [][@:Aescling]{.sig} {% Battle Styles %} [BST-33]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh5/33/ {% Evolving Skies %} [EVS-106]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh7/106 / [EVS-163]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh7/163 / {% Fusion Strike %} [FST-225]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh8/225 / {% Brilliant Stars %} [BRS-37]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh9/37/ [BRS-121]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh9/121 / {% Astral Radiance %} [ASR-147]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh10/14 7/ {% Lost Origin %} [LOR-37]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh11/37 / [LOR-167]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh11/16 7/ {% Silver Tempest %} [SIT-59]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh12/59 / {% Crown Zenith %} [CRZ-116]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh12pt5 /116/ [CRZ-GG39]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/swsh12pt5 gg/GG39/ {% Scarlet & Violet %} [SVI-191]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/sv01/191/ {% Paldea Evolved %} [PAL-97]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/sv02/97/ [PAL-185]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/sv02/185/ {% Obsidian Flames %} [OBF-52]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/sv03/52/ {% 151 %} [MEW-19]: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/pokemon-cards/series/sv3pt5/19 /
