  10 🏠📂 HOMEDIR provides a small collection of scripts and related files
  11   which might be useful in setting up a user account on a Posix
  12   machine.
  13 The name reflects the concept of a “home directory”, altho it is of
  14   course not expected that anyone actually use this repository as their
  15   genuine home directory.

  17 🛈 For clarity, this repository is a virtualized representation of
  18   ⹐my⹑ home directory.
  19 The scripts contained here·in assume my workflows and conventions and
  20   are provided for informational purposes only, so that others might
  21   adapt them to their own workflows and conventions.

  23 The `bin´ directory in this repository contains executable symlinks and
  24   can be straightforwardly added to ones `PATH´, but beware!
  25 This will override the behaviour of `git´ and potentially other
  26   programs.
  27 A better solution might be to create a directory (say, `${HOME}/bin´)
  28   and add ⹐that⹑ to your path, symlinking from there into this
  29   repository to select the scripts you actually understand and approve
  30   of.

  32 Not every script in this repository is symlinked from `bin´.
  33 For example, scripts intended to be used as Git hooks are not intended
  34   to be called from the command line.

  37   what problems they intend to solve, but the scripts themselves are
