+# Ladys Old Standard
+
+This repository contains the `.sfd` source files for Ladys fork of
+  [Old Standard][], originally developed by Alexey Kryukov and
+  subsequently [maintained by Robert Alessi][upstream].
+In contrast to that latter repository, the compiled `.otf` files have
+  been removed and the separate Old Standard Math font is not included.
+
+The main purpose of this endeavour has been to add a few additional
+  characters not present in the original font.
+Minor alterations may take place as well.
+

+The fonts are licensed under the S·I·L Open Font License 1.1, with no
